The Links at Stono Ferry is public 18 hole golf course located in Hollywood, South Carolina. Stono Ferry combines the historic traditions of Charleston with exciting golf along the Intracoastal waters of South Carolina. The Battle at Stono Ferry was fought on these grounds in 1779. As you play your way around the links you'll discover relics from this amazing piece of history. The course features Champion bermudagrass putting surfaces and a heart-pounding, island-green 18th hole. Stono Ferry was awarded the prestigious "Charleston Area Golf Course of the Year Award" in 2003.
The front nine winds its way through majestic pines and waste area-lined fairways while the back nine plays along the banks of the Intracoastal waterway.
Known for its back nine heroics, scenic views and the new island green 18th hole, Stono Ferry offers golfers of all abilities one of the most unique tests in all of Charleston.
Also dotting the club's landscape is an expansive practice facility complete with target greens, as well as practice chipping and putting greens to help you hone those all important stroke-saving shots.

I'm not picky and neither are my golfing buddies. But some of the greens on this course--esp. the front--were horrendous!! There were bare spots, tire tracks with no grass, diseased looking areas, etc. I know it was Feb when we played--but there are lots of courses with much better greens this time of year. Layout was nice but overall we were disappointed in such a highly rated golf course.

i would recommend that you stay away from this course if you dont want your golf vacation ruined. we went there and paid the rude person behing the counter our money without a thank you. when we went outside to our carts we were told to move, when we inquired why the starter said that we were blocking the way for other golfers.we moved our carts and as we were pulling away he mumbled "because i told you so". one of our group asked if there were any other rules we needed to know about he said he would tell us if he had to.he then mumbled some more. at this stage one of our group got out of his cart and asked him what he kept mumbling and he got quite and said nothing.we were then informed that there was a one hour delay. when we finally got to the first tee there was a group on the junior tees in front of us there was one group in the fairway and one group on the green. so there we were all four groups on the first tee.p.s the group in front of us had never played golf before including the 8 year old. i have never been so embarrassed on a golf course or been so rudely treated.stay away from here unless you are a therapist doing research on anger management.just one side note worth mentioning. we played 6 rounds of golf on that trip and the people could not have been nicer and more accomodating except for stono ferry.

The greens had been winter seeded so were very slow. Accordingly, what is normally a great course was not in optimum conditions. Considering the time of the year played (December), the course was probably as good as could be expected.

Nice course. Great views on back nine. Tame hazards and wide fairways. Very accommodating staff.
